I went out to inspect for any damage this morning, after the ridiculous gale last night, and there was a single dazed sheep standing around. I really wanted to go beachcombing this weekend, but the dog I'm looking after has injured her back leg, so I think I'll have to take her to the vet tomorrow. Sigh. I wouldn't mind, but it was her own fault for jumping around barking at buses driving past! She must've sprained it.

Had quite a good thrift store spree today though! Got a fur coat (not to wear - I don't know what I'll do with it really! It just seemed a shame not to buy it), a polaroid camera (no idea if it works) and some cute mini lantern decorations. Yay!

A couple more art cards for sale here.

I'm a little obsessed with luminous things! Fungi, insects, fish; anything!

Wollaton Park, 1st November

Wollaton Park in Nottingham is possibly the most beautiful place I've ever been! I've so many photos from the house/museum & grounds that I'll probably make several seperate posts over the next few weeks. I took several hundred photos that day!! There are herds of red deer living there, (I ADORE deer of all kinds!) and inside the house is a huge collection of minerals and precious/semi precious stones, and also the BIGGEST collection of taxidermy I've ever seen!

ACEO prints for sale

I now have some ACEO sized prints for sale in my Etsy shop!

The pictures featured are Forest Guardian, Deep Sea Angler, Andromeda + Lord of the Forest, but any four prints can be chosen; just let me know at checkout. Click the pic to go to the listing!

The first frost here was on Friday, and the trees dropped their leaves yesterday, it was all very sudden! I REALLY think it's time to hibernate. I can't stop eating porridge. I just want to find a warm attic somewhere and go to sleep.

I walk almost every day, and aways take my camera. I get bored of having a regular journal, and much prefer a photo-diary of my days! I hope you'll enjoy it too!

I found lots of 'shrooms, went past a wonderful semi-overgrown garden, and met a very tall goat!

ACEO sketches

Thought I'd give you a sneak peek at some of the ACEOs (Art Cards, Editions + Originals) I've been drawing - been on a bit of a spree with them lately! They're so addictive; compared to say, an A4 sized drawing, (ACEOs are usually 2.5" x 3.5") they take a fraction of the time. I love how spontaneous some of them are - for me they take a lot less planning than larger drawings - but I also love the challenge of getting the detail in the more intricate ones.
They're an awesome and affordable way to collect original artwork, and will all be for sale in my Etsy shop once they're coloured!
