Chris Packham's 'A Wild Life Exposed'

I met one of my idols the other week! Chris Packham; conservationist and wildlife photographer - he basically has my dream job, dammit! Anyway, after a whole day of sitting behind my stall at the Festive & Vintage Market (made £50 - could've been worse, I suppose) I bundled my stuff together, and rushed off to the train station to catch the train to Morecambe to see his talk. Despite the train being delayed by half an hour (typical!) and gale-force winds against me the whole way, I made it 15 minutes before the start. It was packed, but oddly enough, my favourite seat for talks & gigs - on the left, third row back, third seat in - was still available. Seating was first come first served, and there were several hundred people already there, yet 'my' seat was still there? Weird. But good.

ANYWAY. He talked a bit about his photography, and a lot about conservation, and was generally all-round dreeeeamy! I decided I had to be brave and talk to him afterwards, and I was telling him that I'd always wanted to do a science degree in Wildlife Conservation rather than the art degree I've got, and he said he'd always wanted to do an art degree!

I even got a photo with him! :D

SO DREEEEAMY! Haha!

I had to ask some old guy to take the photo, but he wasn't very good, hence the blurriness. He chopped our heads off the first time. I've cropped it & tried to save it in Photoshop. OH OH! But the best bit was that we both reached to adjust the angle of the camera in an annoyed way at exactly the same time! Haaa!! :D

*heart-eyes forever*

Tabby + Mikey

My middle stepsister Tabby got married about a month ago! She looked beautimous in a Jane Austen style dress, and Mikey had rather good shoes.

I was asked to do the photos, so here's a few that I liked! I love the last one with the dramaticalz lighting and Mikey's dad, the Bish, being all... Bishop-y.

Ugh, I've not drawn anything for ages. Work is stealing my life.

I brought my cat Khan (aka. Thing, Ickle, Little Reptile, Gremlin, Little Stinkling, Spidermonkey, Funny Face, Little Oh, Little Siameezer) home from the cattery last weekend, and for now she's living in my room, until her and Casper (current house cat) get used to each other. Wish me luck with that! :/

A quick before-work update!

Edit: This is now an after-work update.
2nd edit: This is now a day-after-work update!

It's a horrible rainy week here in northern England, so have some lovely summer phootz from the other week (which are strangely similar to Leroy's post, and taken within the same 3 days or so! *do do do do ~creepy music~*)

Look at him POOTLING.

I bought a Harry Potter character moulding set from the pound shop, because I have no life. This pack has Snape & Voldy in it!! I made Snape already, but he has an air bubble in his nose (as I suspected would happen -_-) so I had to re-model it with clay! He's so dreeeeamy! I'm going to paint him this week :D

Please excuse my weird creeper-face, I was just excited about the tiny Snapeling in the mould!

3 Wishes Faery Fest

Ooh, it's been a long while since I've written here. I want to get back into blogging again on a regular basis, so we'll see how it goes. I never go on LiveJournal either, ho hum.

Lot of things have happened since I last posted here... but I can't remember what they were.

For now, have some phootz of the 3 Wishes Faery Fest I went to with Monkey, Leroy, Fiend and Naomi (aka Brian Molkovich. Don't ask.) I also met many lovely people there, including Juli, Bryony, Bruce, and Oli.

My friends are fucking gorgeous. And every single one of us has fucking amazing hair.

Fairies like to have fun too.

I'll probably re-do this at some point, because I'm not happy with the quality of the paper I used. It's made the whole painting look really flat, and I CAN PAINT BETTER THAN THIS. Bah.

The crappy paper was all I had handy, because I'm not paying the extortionate price of £25 a pad in the only art shop in Garstang. </rant>

A birthday painting I did for my landlady's friend's daughter!

(It's much nicer in real life; this is a crappy iphone phoot of it!)

old artwork

So, because I haven't had time to be very creative lately, I thought I'd upload a few older bits and pieces to keep you entertained in the meantime. It doesn't really represent the work I do now, but hopefully it's interesting nonetheless!
Doodled Goblins!
